Since its fully-fledged membership on October 27 1961, Mongolia has been an active member of the UN participating and contributing to its activities and purposes. With the UN membership Mongolia ensured its independence and sovereignty, safeguarded its security and strengthened its position in the international community. The UN supported efforts of Mongolia in its socio-economic development, environment protection, democracy promotion and human rights. In this way Mongolia benefited significantly from its UN membership and multilateral cooperation. Mongolia participated and committed itself to the implementation of the decisions from the UN major conferences and summits, which took since 2000, on children, financing for development and transit cooperation of landlocked developing countries. 
Mongolia has been the Chairmanship of ASEM for 2014-2015.

 

 

The European Union is a unique economic and political partnership between 28 European countries that together cover much of the European landmass. The EU’s commitment to effective multilateralism, with the UN at its core, is a central element of its external action. As a UN observer with enhanced status, the EU delegation coordinates with its 28 Member States to speak with one voice. The EU also works closely with the UN secretariat and its agencies, funds & programs, partnering on a range of global issues and challenges.

 

 

North America Photography Association is a Non-profit organization with members of photography professionals. It provides a platform for photographers to promote international cultural communications. The organization sets up frequent events and activities such as exhibitions, lectures, indoor sessions, outdoor trips to enhance artistic appreciation, showcase talents, and channels new ideas.

 

 

ASEF is the only permanently established institution of ASEM and is funded by voluntary contributions from its member governments and shares the financing of its projects with its civil society partners across Asia and Europe. ASEF promotes greater mutual understanding between Asia and Europe through intellectual, cultural and people-to-people exchanges. Through ASEF, civil society concerns are included as a vital component of deliberations of the ASEM. ASEF was established in February 1997 by the participating governments and organizations of ASEM and has since implemented over 650 projects, engaging over 17,000 direct participants as well as reaching out to a much wider audience in Asia and Europe.

 

 

CSSA@NYU is the largest organization for Chinese students and alumni community at NYU. With over 4,000 registered members, it is also one of the largest Chinese student organizations in the US. Their mission is to unite the Chinese students, serve the local Chinese community on behalf of NYU and promote the communication and dialogue between China and US.

 

 

The Indian Students Association promotes social and educational activities among the South Asian community on campus. It will also support and promote the 20th Anniversary Exhibition on ASEM at the United Nations.

 

 

The mission of the European Business Society is to be the main gateway between NYU Stern and Europe for students, alumni, and the business community by creating a common interest social and professional student and alumni network across Stern and with other top business schools; generating awareness of European business, culture, and politics on campus through academic, business, and social events; and promoting professional opportunities for students interested in working in Europe.

 

 

The Columbia European Society, founded in spring 2015 by a group of undergraduate and graduate students, is the only university-wide society at Columbia bringing together students interested in Eu- rope and European affairs.

 

 

The purpose of this organization is to provide service and help Chinese students and scholars; to promote communication and friendship among the members of the association; to link with the United States Chinese Embassy and Consulates in relevant affairs; may participate the conference and activities to improve the representation of the Chinese communities in the United States.

 

 

The CSSA at the St John’s University is joined and organized by the Chinese students and Scholars of their own accord. The Association is aiming at representing what all the members wish, protecting their rights, enhancing the friendship among the members and improving the mutual understanding between the Chinese students and the American people of all walks of life. Meanwhile, it organizes various activities bearing on the above mentioned aims. The Association is a non profit organization.
